IT'S DOOOONNNNE...... *hand falls off* Well, those of you who were watching me a year ago may remember that I uploaded the first few pages of this comic and then promptly stopped; It wasn't until mid-November-ish that I actually resolved to finish the confounded thing, and now that it is done, I feel really, REALLY glad. It's the only comic that I've ever completely planned, thumbs and all, waaayyy beforehand, and I really am glad that I did all the preplanning, even if the final result is very different than the original thumbs. For one, I jokingly referred to this as the "Incredible bottomless comic" for the past week because just as I was about to get to the end, I would end up having to add another page. Around the thirty-sixth panel is where the art shift starts to happen, and where (hopefully) you note at least SOME improvement in the artwork. Sorry if my handwriting is a bit illegible, too!

There's really no story or anything of the sort here, and I really am sorry for having a winged character who doesn't even fly–that's why I felt like I had to add the page in in which Cleo asks, "Do those wings really WORK?" since so many people were asking, "Why can't he just fly over?" :XD: I am fully aware of all the questions this comic raises that are unanswered–what's a winged boy doing randomly on a dock, where did he come from, why is he dressed like a Dickensian urchin, and when and where on earth does this take place, anyway? Not to mention Cleo's age; when I started this I intended her to be an older woman, but then my skills were not quite up to par, and when I resumed drawing this, I felt it was more important to preserve consistency. Still, the little irksome things remain, and I feel I still must explain: This was mostly just a little scene that came into my head about a year ago, and an excuse to plan and execute a comic from beginning to end. If there's any "theme" in this little story, I suppose it just has to do with not being too curious while still being able to wonder at things. I tend not to really pursue oddities or questions, so this type of story seems fine to me (the fact that I made it notwithstanding), but I can understand perfectly if anyone is bothered by the lack of answers, and that's where I invite you to use your imagination.

This comic was made on regular printer paper, penciled with whatever crayola colored pencils were available, and "inked" with a pencil, so if the lines look a little fuzzy in some places, that's why. I probably won't be doing a comic like this for sometime, since it's pretty hard on the hands. Pencil, unlike ink, needs to be sometimes pressed, or etched into the paper with lots of pressure, and while I like the effect that it gives, as I said it's pretty hard on the hands. But hey, it's cheap! :D

The "Angel Boy" is actually a character I've had in mind for a long time bouncing around in my brain, and this comic, when I first planned it, was originally going to be a sort of intro–if I wanted to pursue a story with this character, I could continue from here, or I could just leave it alone as a standing story. Either way, I hope it works well, as both artwork and a comic, and I'd love to hear your feedback and musings on it. Hope you had a great Christmas, and have a happy New Year!

I really liked it. It short and it gives you questions, but that's good. And the way you do it is very good as well: you immediately create an atmosphere and put us "in the right place", so to speak.
Love the naiad design by the way. Not quite sure about her hair. But I love how and where you've placed her gills and the fact that her eyes are black. The gills I get, but why are the eyes black? I also like how her tail moves like a fishes, very supple. Why did you choose the tail that you did? You said you put a lot of work in her design, so I guess I can ask? :P Don't answer anything you don't want to, that's my rule. (If it is too personal, or anything like that.)
