I Waited for You

One day, I was sitting in my Art Inspiration Seat (which happens to be my bed) trying to think of something interesting to draw. Nada. Despite the fact that I had been at the DeYoung museum that very afternoon. Probably just too tired to think of anything fun.

The next day I talked to my dad about conceptual art, and watched the Eleventh Hour with my sister. it was awesome.

Then I went to my room and saw my oil pastels sitting at the bottom of my ART SUPPLY drawer....



This is the result. I wanted to keep it pretty abstract in the composition, which is why there is funky perspective on the sky and house. I tried to make the lines have significance and not just be there for the sake of being there. I'm no good with symbolism, but if you look closely there's wings on the TARDIS, and the top left corner's lines are Zooming away. I also sneaked a bunch of other random things from that episode (can you find the custard bowl?) and tried to make the colors more "dirty" and less primary.

I don't have a subscription, but I really would like some Comments and Critiques on this, because it's the first real non- "scene" pic that I've done so far. well, I have made another, (about spock) that I'll post too. Thanks for viewing!
