APH-The Allied Kitchen

Yeah, Hetalia again, in less than a week. But I did say the Allies were coming up, didn't I? Well, they're pretty identifiable–from left to right: China and France (collaborating on the meal–some sort of Asian-Fusion, maybe?) America peeking in to let them know that Russia has just arrived at the door, bearing spirits, England is dusting the lamp off, probably not a good idea since the plates are already on the table, and if you look carefully you may find Canada, the poor guy.

Oh mah gulai, I just LOVE drawing kitchen stuff! I don't cook, per say, but I usually help my dad out with cleaning up and doing prep work, like chopping up onions and picking basil leaves, or clearing the counter. I also love DETAILS. the drawer with the supplies, the rice cooker, the garlic hanging from the ceiling (don't ask.) If you look in the background, you can see that America has already claimed the head of the table with his jacket. Typical.

Also, besides being yet another fan art, this was another practice with my good ol' watercolors, and playing with color, lighting, and all that good stuff. Warm colors in front, cool in the back, purple and bluish shadows with yellow light, "bouncing" colors off each other (did that make any sense?), and finally, incorporating five (well, actually six) people into one picture, and a whole bunch of other stuff that people worry about in art. Writing about the process makes it seem really hard and stuff, but actually it was a lot of fun. I need to do more SKETCHING though, especially for my big christmas project, instead of, "studying for History" (euphenism for reading APH) XD
